Croix de Chabot
Saint-Joseph red
Syrah.
Granite and granitic sands. 30 year old, gobelet trained vines, trellised along stakes in the traditional fashion. Southeast facing slopes with good wind exposure. Grapes harvested by hand at optimal maturity.
Ageing is carried out in concrete tanks to fully preserve this single vineyard’s mineral expression.
Michel describes his wine to Yannick
This Saint Joseph is nuanced and complex. Dark fruit aromas with mineral notes, bloodstonelike at first then smoky. Full, powerful and balanced by freshness on the palate. Pleasant, long-lingering finish.
